Sottomarino Winery Scores Big at the 2019 American Fine Wine Competition

Sottomarino Winery dominated the Italian Wine Categories at the American Fine Wine Competition. The American Fine Wine Competition, which began in 2007, has become the most influential wine invitational in the country. The competition is only open to top wineries in the US by invitation only. The wines are judged by an award-winning panel of judges including wine columnist Monty Preiser and world-renowned sommelier Chris Sawyer.

In 2019, Sottomarino Winery was awarded medals for all four of its wines that were submitted and received a Double Gold Medal for its 2014 Primitivo. Below are the complete ratings on the wines:

2014 Sottomarino Sopraffino (Super Tuscan Blend) - 90 points

2014 Sottomarino Sangiovese - 89 points
